We are pleased to announce that at our upcoming May 13th meeting Dr. Lobinske, the manager of Leon County Mosquito Control will be presenting a program on aerial and ground-based spraying of mosquito adulticide and its effects on honeybees.
Apalachee Beekeeper Intro to Beekeeping Course FEBRUARY 23,2008
The intro to beekeeping course was a big success!! we had approximately 95 registrants for the course!! What a turn-out!!! "Newbees" enjoyed hearing presentations from Laurence Cutts, Doug Courbin, and Elmore Herman. Many thanks to all the association members who put together such a wonderful Saturday. We Had a great time at Bee College.... (congratulations to Tony Hogg for being one of the highest scorers in the Master Beekeeper Program!!
